The Mareva and Worldwide Mareva Injunctions — International Dimensions
You win a judgment against a debtor after three years of litigation and then discover that, during those three years, he quietly moved every rupee to an account in Singapore. English judges invented one in 1975, named after a ship. This topic explains how it works, why it has an international side and how far Indian law goes in the same direction.
