Transit Bail Application

A software engineer living in Navi Mumbai learns that a businessman in another State has filed a police complaint against him, and that two officers from that State are on their way to arrest him. The real trial will be held in a court far from his home. If he is arrested tonight, he will be taken across the country before any judge there hears him. He does not want to avoid the case; he wants a few days to reach the right court and ask for bail in the ordinary way. Is there a remedy that protects him only for the journey?
