Advantages and disadvantages of Intellectual Property Rights
A college student in Navi Mumbai writes software for a hostel-mess app and wants to sell it. Protecting it with copyright helps her. The same system that protects her may stop another student from building a similar feature, and a company with a patent on a life-saving drug may charge a price few families can pay. The law hands out exclusive rights for good reasons and pays for them with real costs. Examiners ask for both sides, and a balanced answer scores higher than a one-sided one.
