Negligence in Medical Practice, Contributory Negligence and Different Remedies

Your uncle goes to a Navi Mumbai hospital for a routine operation and comes out worse than he went in. The family is angry and someone says, file a case. But against whom, and in which court? A civil court, a consumer commission, the police, the medical council? The law gives all of these doors, and each one asks a different question. This topic teaches what medical negligence is, how the patient's own conduct can cut down a claim, and which remedy opens which door.
