Communism

Where socialism is content to regulate and redistribute within an existing order, communism asks for the order itself to be torn up: no private ownership of productive property, no distinct social classes, and eventually, on its own long-term theory, no State at all. Communism, as developed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, is the ideology aiming at the abolition of private ownership of the means of production and of social classes altogether, to be achieved through a revolutionary transition via socialism toward a classless, stateless society.
