Exercise of political power and role of the Government in decision making

A budget is presented in Parliament, a curfew is imposed in a district, a subsidy is withdrawn overnight — each is an ordinary act of government, and each is political power actually being used, not merely defined. This topic asks how that everyday exercise of power actually happens, and why decision-making is where power stops being a concept and becomes visible.
