Delivery of goods and its rules
You buy a wardrobe at a furniture showroom in Thane and pay in full. The showroom says it will deliver “soon”. A week passes. Must you fetch it yourself? Where must it be handed over? Can the showroom send half the pieces now and the rest later? And if the van driver gives you a wardrobe with the wrong finish, have you “accepted” it by letting it stand in your hall for a few days? Chapter IV of the Sale of Goods Act answers each of these.
