Persons Nature of Personality
A builder registers a company with a name, and the company buys land, signs loan papers and gets sued, yet nobody has ever shaken hands with it. A temple idol owns property in some records. A river was once declared a living entity by a High Court. Meanwhile a newborn, a person in coma and a person who has died all raise their own puzzles. Who counts as a 'person' in the eyes of the law, and does being a human being have anything to do with it? This topic answers the question for animals, minors, persons of unsound mind, intoxicated persons, the unborn, the dead and the corporation.
