Report of learning various skills during internship

After a cricket tournament, nobody asks how many matches you played. They ask what you can do now that you could not do before. The internship report is that question put to a law student. It is not a list of days, because the diary already has that. It is an account of the skills you picked up in the chamber and the court: how to draft, how to research, how to meet a client, how to keep a file. The question this topic answers is how to write that account so that every claim is backed by something you actually did.

In two minutes

The internship report is a reflective, evidence-backed account of the skills you learnt, organised skill by skill, each claim tied to a task from your diary and to the rule or document it involved.
